قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ مُضَرِّسِ بْنِ أَوْسِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ لَامٍ أَنَّهُ حَجَّ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يُدْرِكْ النَّاسَ إِلَّا لَيْ
لًا وَهُوَ بِجَمْعٍ فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى عَرَفَاتٍ فَأَفَاضَ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَأَتَى جَمْعًا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَأَنْصَبْتُ رَاحِلَتِي فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ فَقَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى مَعَنَا صَلَاةَ الْغَدَاةِ بِجَمْعٍ وَوَقَفَ مَعَنَا حَتَّى نُفِيضَ وَقَدْ أَفَاضَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Abū Nuʿaym narrated to us, Zakariyyā narrated to us, from al-Shaʿbī, ʿUrwah ibn Muḍarris ibn Aws ibn Ḥārithah ibn Lām narrated to me: that he performed Ḥajj in the time of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ but did not catch up with the people until nightfall while at Jamʿ. He went to ʿArafāt and departed from it, then returned to Jamʿ and said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, I exhausted myself and exhausted my mount. Do I have a valid Ḥajj?' He said: 'Whoever prays the dawn prayer with us at Jamʿ and stands with us until we depart, having already departed from ʿArafāt before that, by night or by day, his Ḥajj is complete and he has fulfilled his rites.'
