حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ قَالَ جَاءَ أَبِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَ
هُوَ غُلَامٌ صَغِيرٌ فَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ قُلْنَا لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَى عَهْدِهِ قَدْ حَلَبَ وَصَرَّ

English Translation
Ḥajjāj narrated to us, he said: Shuʿbah narrated to me, from Abū Iyās who said: My father came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was a small boy, and he wiped his head and sought forgiveness for him. Shuʿbah said: We asked him, "Did he have companionship [ṣuḥbah]?" He said: No, but he was alive during his time, and he had milked and tied [the udders of his camel].
