Hadith #47
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ
قَالَ مَرَّ بِقَوْمٍ يُعَذَّبُونَ فِي الْجِزْيَةِ بِفِلَسْطِينَ قَالَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُعَذِّبُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُعَذِّبُونَ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا

English Translation
Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, from Hishām ibn Ḥakīm ibn Ḥizām, who said: He passed by some people in Palestine who were being tortured over the jizyah (tax). He said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: 'Allāh will torment those who torment people in this world.'
