قَالَ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي الدِّيلِ يُقَالُ لَهُ بُسْرُ بْنُ مِحْجَنٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ مِحْجَنٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأُذِّنَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ رَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمِحْجَنٌ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ مَعَ النَّاسِ أَلَسْتَ بِرَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ
قَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنِّي كُنْتُ قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ فِي أَهْلِي فَقَالَ لَهُ إِذَا جِئْتَ فَصَلِّ مَعَ النَّاسِ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ

English Translation
He (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that i read to ʿAbd al-Raḥmān: Mālik, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from a man of Banū al-Dīl called Busr ibn Miḥjan, from his father Miḥjan, that he was in a gathering with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ when the adhān was called for prayer. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ rose and prayed, then returned, and Miḥjan was still in his seat. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said to him: 'What prevented you from praying with the people? Are you not a Muslim man?' He said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allāh, but I had already prayed at home.' He said to him: 'When you come, pray with the people even if you have already prayed.'
