قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ عَنْ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كُنْ عَجَّاجًا ثَجَّاجًا وَالْعَجُّ التَّلْبِيَةُ وَالثَّجُّ نَحْرُ الْبُدْنِ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, he said: Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq informed us, from ʿAbdillāh ibn Abī Labīd, from al-Muṭṭalib ibn ʿAbdillāh ibn Ḥanṭab, from al-Sāʾib ibn Khallād, that Jibrīl عليه السلام came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "Be one who cries out [with the talbiyah] and one who sacrifices." Al-ʿajj is the talbiyah, and al-thajj is the slaughter of sacrificial camels.
