English Translation
Ḥasan ibn Mūsā narrated to us, he said: Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Suhayl ibn Abī Ṣāliḥ, from his father, from Abū ʿAyyāsh, who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Whoever says in the morning: 'Lā ilāha illAllāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu al-mulk wa lahu al-ḥamd wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr' [There is no god but Allāh alone, with no partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and to Him belongs praise, and He is over all things capable], it will be equivalent to freeing a slave from the descendants of Ismāʿīl. Ten good deeds will be written for him, ten bad deeds will be erased from him, he will be raised ten degrees, and he will be in protection from Shayṭān until evening. And if he says it in the evening, the same until morning." A man saw the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ in a dream and said: O Messenger of Allāh, Abū ʿAyyāsh narrates such-and-such from you. He said: "Abū ʿAyyāsh has spoken the truth."
