English Translation
Yaḥyā ibn Isḥāq narrated to us, he said: Ibn Lahīʿah narrated to us, from ʿUbaydullāh ibn Abī Jaʿfar, from al-Faḍl ibn ʿAmr ibn Umayyah, from his father, he said: I heard men speaking about the Prophet ﷺ that he said: When a slave woman is freed, she has the choice as long as her husband has not consummated the marriage with her — if she wishes she may leave him. But if he has consummated with her, she has no choice and cannot separate from him.
