English Translation

ʿAlī ibn Isḥāq narrated to us, he said: ʿAbdullāh informed us, he said: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān informed us, from Manṣūr ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from his mother, from Umm ʿUthmān bint Sufyān — the mother of the elder sons of Shaybah. Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: She had pledged allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ. the Prophet ﷺ called Shaybah to open (the Kaʿbah). When he entered the House and came back out and finished, Shaybah returned — and there was the messenger of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saying: Come! He went to him and he said: I saw a ram's horn in the House, so conceal it. Manṣūr said: ʿAbdullāh ibn Musāfiʿ narrated to me, from my mother, from Umm ʿUthmān bint Sufyān, that the Prophet ﷺ said to him in the ḥadīth: There should not be anything in the House that distracts those who pray.
