حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الدَّارِ مِنْ دُورِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ نَغْشَاهَا بَيَاتًا فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ يَكُونُ تَحْتَ الْغَارَةِ مِنْ الْوِلْدَانِ قَالَ هُمْ مِنْهُمْ

English Translation
ʿAbdullāh narrated to us, he said: Abū Ḥumayd narrated to me, he said: ʿAbd al-Wahhāb ibn Najdah narrated to us, he said: Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, he said: Jaʿfar ibn al-Ḥārith narrated to me, from Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbaydullāh ibn ʿAbdillāh ibn ʿUtbah ibn Masʿūd, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from al-Ṣaʿb ibn Jaththāmah al-Laythī, he said: I asked the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ about the dwellings of the polytheists that we raid at night — what about those caught under the assault of women and children? He said: They are from them.
