حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَبِي حَسَنٍ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ الْأَسْوَاقَ وَقَالَ فَأَثَرْتُ وَقَالَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ مَرَّةً فَأَخَذْتُ دُبْسَتَيْنِ قَالَ وَأُمُّهُمَا تُ
رَشْرِشُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ آخُذَهُمَا قَالَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ أَبُو حَسَنٍ فَنَزَعَ مِتِّيخَةً قَالَ فَضَرَبَنِي بِهَا فَقَالَتْ لِي امْرَأَةٌ مِنَّا يُقَالُ لَهَا مَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ تَعِسْتَ مِنْ عَضُدِهِ وَمِنْ تَكْسِيرِ الْمِتِّيخَةِ فَقَالَ لِي أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِ

English Translation
ʿAbdullāh narrated to us, he said: ʿUbaydullāh ibn ʿUmar narrated to us, he said: ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad al-Darāwardī narrated to us, ʿAmr ibn Yaḥyā narrated to me, from Yaḥyā ibn ʿUmārah, from his grandfather Abū Ḥasan, who said: I entered the markets and stirred up — and al-Qawārīrī said another time: I took — two young pigeons, and their mother was fluttering over them while I was trying to take them. Abū Ḥasan came in and pulled out a palm-branch and struck me with it. A woman among us called Maryam said, 'You have indeed suffered from his arm and from the breaking of the palm-branch.' He said to me: 'Do you not know that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ declared what is between the two lava fields of Madīnah to be sacred (ḥaram)?'
