English Translation

ʿAbdullāh narrated to us, he said: Aḥmad ibn Ḥātim al-Ṭawīl — and he was trustworthy, a righteous man — narrated to us, he said: ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad, meaning al-Darāwardī, narrated to us, from ʿAmr ibn Yaḥyā, from his father — or his uncle — who said: I had long hair that I would lift up when I prostrated. Abū Ḥasan al-Māzinī saw me and said, 'You lift it so the dust does not touch it? By Allāh, I will shave it!' And he shaved it.
