English Translation
Yaʿlā ibn ʿUbayd narrated to us, he said: Muḥammad, meaning Ibn Isḥāq, narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from Muḥammad ibn Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ stood at al-Khayf in Minā and said: 'May Allāh brighten the face of a person who heard my words, memorized them, and then conveyed them to one who did not hear them. For perhaps a carrier of knowledge does not himself understand it, and perhaps a carrier of knowledge conveys it to one who understands it better than he does. Three things the heart of a believer will never harbor malice over: sincerity of action, sincere counsel for those in authority, and adhering to the community of Muslims, for their supplication encompasses them all.'
