قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ بَعْضَ إِخْوَتِي عَنْ أَبِي عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ أَنَّهُ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي فِدَاءِ بَدْرٍ قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ فِي فِدَاءِ الْمُ
شْرِكِينَ وَمَا أَسْلَمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَدَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ فَقَرَأَ بِالطُّورِ فَكَأَنَّمَا صُدِعَ عَنْ قَلْبِي حِينَ سَمِعْتُ الْقُرْآنَ قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ فَكَأَنَّمَا صُدِعَ قَلْبِي حَيْثُ سَمِعْتُ الْقُرْآنَ

English Translation
ʿAffān and Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, they said: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Saʿd ibn Ibrāhīm, who said: I heard some of my brothers narrate from my father, from Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim, that he came to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ regarding the ransom of the Badr prisoners — Ibn Jaʿfar said: regarding the ransom of the polytheists — and he had not yet accepted Islam at that time. He entered the mosque while the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was praying Maghrib, and he recited Sūrat al-Ṭūr. It was as though my heart was split open when I heard the Qurʾān. Ibn Jaʿfar said: 'It was as though my heart was split open when I heard the Qurʾān.'
