قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَنَا أَجْرٌ بِمَ
كَّةَ قَالَ لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ أُجُورُكُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي جُحْرِ ثَعْلَبٍ قَالَ فَأَصْغَى إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَأْسِهِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ فِي أَصْحَابِي مُنَافِقِينَ

English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, he said: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Sālim, from a man, from Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim, who said: I said, 'O Messenger of Allāh, they claim that we have no reward in Makkah.' He said: 'Your rewards will surely come to you even if you were in a fox's den.' He said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ leaned toward me with his head and said: 'There are hypocrites among my Companions.'
