قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الْمَازِنِي
َّ يَقُولُ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى وَاسْتَسْقَى وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ حِينَ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَبَدَأَ بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ ثُمَّ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ فَدَعَا

English Translation
He (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that i read to ʿAbd al-Raḥmān: Mālik — and Isḥāq narrated to us, he said: Mālik narrated to me — from ʿAbdillāh ibn Abī Bakr, from ʿAbbād ibn Tamīm, saying: I heard ʿAbdullāh ibn Zayd al-Māzinī saying: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ went out to the prayer ground and performed the rain prayer. He turned his cloak around when he faced the qiblah. Isḥāq added in his narration: He started with the prayer before the sermon, then faced the qiblah and supplicated.
