قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعُ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ قَالَ تَذَاكَرْنَا الْغُسْلَ مِنْ الْجَنَابَةِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَل
َّمَ فَقَالَ أَمَّا أَنَا فَأُفِيضُ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثَلَاثًا وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ذُكِرَتْ الْجَنَابَةُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَمَّا أَنَا فَآخُذُ بِكَفِّي ثَلَاثًا فَأُفِيضُ عَلَى رَأْسِي

English Translation
Wakīʿ and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Abū Isḥāq, from Sulaymān ibn Ṣurad, from Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim, who said: We were discussing the ritual bath after sexual impurity (ghusl al-janābah) in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ. He said: 'As for me, I pour water over my head three times.' ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: Sexual impurity was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: 'As for me, I take three handfuls and pour them over my head.'
