English Translation

ʿAlī ibn Baḥr narrated to us, he said: al-Darāwardī narrated to us, from ʿUmārah ibn Ghaziyyah, from ʿAbbād ibn Tamīm, from ʿAbdullāh ibn Zayd, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ went out to the prayer ground to perform the rain prayer (istisqāʾ) while wearing a black khamisah. He took hold of its bottom to put it on top, but it was too heavy for him. So he turned it on his shoulders.
