حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَاصِمَ بْنَ بَهْدَلَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَن

ْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا شَرِبُوا الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثُمَّ إِذَا شَرِبُوا فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثُمَّ إِذَا شَرِبُوا فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثُمَّ إِذَا شَرِبُوهَا الرَّابِعَةَ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ

English Translation

Muʿāwiyah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'When they drink wine, lash them. Then when they drink it again, lash them. Then when they drink it again, lash them. Then when they drink it a fourth time, kill them.'
