حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ يَعْنِي ابْ

نَ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ فِي جَسَدِهِ يُؤْذِيهِ إِلَّا كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِهِ مِنْ سَيِّئَاتِهِ

English Translation
Muʿāwiyah narrated — via Abū Burdah — : I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: 'Nothing that afflicts the believer in his body and causes him pain except that Allāh expiates some of his sins because of it.'
