حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرٍ
الْحِمْصِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا كَثِيرٍ الْمُحَارِبِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ خَرَشَةَ بْنَ الْحُرِّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ سَتَكُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِي فِتْنَةٌ النَّائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ الْيَقْظَانِ وَالْقَاعِدُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ الْقَائِمِ وَالْقَائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ السَّاعِي فَمَنْ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَمْشِ بِسَيْفِهِ إِلَى صَفَاةٍ فَلْيَضْرِبْهُ حَتَّى يَنْكَسِرَ ثُمَّ لِيَضْطَجِعَ لَهَا حَتَّى تَنْجَلِيَ عَمَّا انْجَلَيَتْ

English Translation
ʿAlī ibn Baḥr narrated to us, he said: Muḥammad ibn Ḥimyar al-Ḥimṣī narrated to us, he said: Thābit ibn ʿAjlān narrated to us, he said: I heard Abū Kathīr al-Muḥāribī saying: I heard Kharashah ibn al-Ḥurr saying: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saying: "There will be after me a tribulation in which the sleeper is better than the one awake, the one sitting is better than the one standing, and the one standing is better than the one walking. Whoever is overtaken by it, let him take his sword to a rock and strike it until it breaks, then let him lie down until it clears."
