English Translation
Yaḥyā ibn Zakariyyā ibn Abī Zāʾidah narrated to us, he said: Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq narrated to me, from Yazīd ibn Abī Ḥabīb, from Abū Marzūq — the freedman of Tujīb (and Tujīb is a clan of Kindah) — from Ruwayfiʿ ibn Thābit al-Anṣārī who said: I was with the Prophet ﷺ when he conquered Ḥunayn. He stood among us as a preacher and said: "It is not lawful for a man who believes in Allāh and the Last Day to water another's crop with his own water (i.e., to have intercourse with a pregnant captive), nor to purchase war spoils before they are distributed, nor to wear a garment from the spoils of the Muslims until when he has worn it out he returns it, nor to ride an animal from the spoils of the Muslims until when he has emaciated it he returns it."
