Arabic Text
قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَ
الَ سَمِعْتُ إِيَاسَ بْنَ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُمُعَةَ ثُمَّ نَرْجِعُ فَلَا نَجِدُ لِلْحِيطَانِ فَيْئًا يُسْتَظَلُّ فِيهِ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us, he said: Yaʿlā ibn al-Ḥārith narrated to us, he said: I heard Iyās ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ, from his father, who said: We used to pray the Friday prayer with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, then we would return and find no shade from the walls to take shelter in.
