English Translation
Makkī narrated to us, he said: Yazīd ibn Abī ʿUbayd narrated to us, he said: I saw the mark of a wound on Salamah's shin and said: O Abū Muslim, what is this wound? He said: This is a wound I received on the day of Khaybar. The day I was struck, the people said: Salamah has been struck! So I was brought to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, and he blew on it three times, and I never felt pain from it until this very hour. Ibrāhīm ibn Mahdī narrated to us, he said: Ḥātim — meaning Ibn Ismāʿīl — narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn Abī ʿUbayd, who said: I heard Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ say: I went out — and he mentioned a narration similar to that of Makkī, except that he said: "And today is the day of the sucklings!" And he added: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ seated me behind him on his riding camel.
