قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ

بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللَّهُ وَغِفَارٌ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهَا أَمَا وَاللَّهِ مَا أَنَا قُلْتُهُ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ قَالَهُ

English Translation

ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us, he said: ʿUmar ibn Rāshid al-Yamāmī narrated to us, he said: Iyās ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ narrated to us, from his father, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Aslam — may Allāh grant it peace. And Ghifār — may Allāh forgive it. Indeed, by Allāh, I did not say it, but Allāh said it."
