Hadith #84

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْزِلًا فَجَاءَ عَيْنٌ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَرَسُولُ
اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ يَتَصَبَّحُونَ فَدَعَوْهُ إِلَى طَعَامِهِمْ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ الرَّجُلُ رَكِبَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَذَهَبَ مُسْرِعًا لِيُنْذِرَ أَصْحَابَهُ قَالَ سَلَمَةُ فَأَدْرَكْتُهُ فَأَنَخْتُ رَاحِلَتَهُ وَضَرَبْتُ عُنُقَهُ فَغَنَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَلَبَهُ

English Translation
ʿAbdullāh ibn Yazīd narrated to us, he said: ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmār narrated to us, he said: Iyās ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ narrated to us, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ stopped at a place, and a spy of the polytheists came while the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and his companions were having their morning meal. They invited him to eat with them. When the man finished, he mounted his riding camel and left quickly to warn his companions. Salamah said: I caught up with him, made his camel kneel, and struck his neck. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ gave me his spoils.
