حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ بُدَيْلٌ الْعُقَيْلِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الْهَوْزَنِيِّ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ
مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ تَرَكَ كَلًّا فَإِلَيَّ قَالَ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَإِلَى رَسُولِهِ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِوَرَثَتِهِ وَأَنَا وَارِثُ مَنْ لَا وَارِثَ لَهُ أَعْقِلُ عَنْهُ وَأَرِثُهُ وَالْخَالُ وَارِثُ مَنْ لَا وَارِثَ لَهُ يَعْقِلُ عَنْهُ وَيَرِثُهُ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us, he said: Budayl al-ʿUqaylī informed me, he said: I heard ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭalḥah narrating from Rāshid ibn Saʿd, from Abū ʿĀmir al-Hawzanī, from al-Miqdām — one of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ — from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: 'Whoever leaves a burden, then it falls to me' — he said: and sometimes he said: 'to Allah and His Messenger' — 'and whoever leaves wealth, it is for his heirs. I am the heir of one who has no heir — I pay the blood-money on his behalf and inherit from him. And the maternal uncle is the heir of one who has no heir — he pays the blood-money on his behalf and inherits from him.'
