Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْبَة
َ الثَّقَفِيِّ قَالَ رَأَى بِشْرَ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَمَا يَقُولُ إِلَّا هَكَذَا وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعِهِ السَّبَّابَةِ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us, from Ḥuṣayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from ʿUmārah ibn Ruwayba al-Thaqafī, he said: He saw Bishr ibn Marwān raising his hands on the day of Jumuʿah and said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the minbar on the day of Jumuʿah, and he would only do this' — and he pointed with his index finger.
