Mūsā ibn Dāwūd narrated to us: Zuhayr narrated to us, from Ḥuṣayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Sulamī, he said: I was beside ʿImārah ibn Ruwayba while Bishr was delivering the khuṭbah. When he made supplication, he raised his hands. ʿImārah said — meaning: 'May Allah disfigure these two hands!' — or: 'these two little hands!' — 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was delivering the khuṭbah; when he supplicated, he would only do this' — and he raised the index finger alone.
