Hadith #152

English Translation

Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Sufyān. He said: And Abū al-Walīd Hishām and ʿAffān narrated to us, they said: Abū ʿAwānah narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Malik — ʿAffān said: ʿAbd al-Malik ibn ʿUmayr narrated to us — from the son of ʿUmārah ibn Ruwayba, from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ, that he said: 'No one who prays before the rising of the sun and before its setting shall enter the Fire.' A man was present — ʿAffān said: from the people of Baṣrah — who said: 'Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' He said: 'Yes, I bear witness to it from him.' He said: 'And I bear witness — I heard the Prophet ﷺ say it in the very place where you heard it from him.' ʿAffān [said] in it: Al-Ḥasan ibn Mūsā narrated to us: Shaybān narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Malik, from the son of ʿUmārah ibn Ruwayba al-Thaqafī, from his father, he said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'No one shall enter the Fire…' — and he mentioned the like of it.
