حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ أُخْتَ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَحُجَّ مَاشِيَةً فَسَأَلَ عُقْبَةُ عَنْ ذَل
ِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مُرْهَا فَلْتَرْكَبْ فَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَفْهَمْ عَنْهُ فَلَمَّا خَلَا مَنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ عَادَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ مُرْهَا فَلْتَرْكَبْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَنْ تَعْذِيبِ أُخْتِكَ نَفْسَهَا لَغَنِيٌّ

English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us: Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd informed me, from ʿUbaydullāh ibn Zaḥr, from Abū Saʿīd, from ʿAbdullāh ibn Mālik, that the sister of ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir vowed to perform ḥajj walking. ʿUqbah asked the Prophet ﷺ about that, and he said: 'Tell her to ride.' He thought [ʿUqbah] had not understood him, so when those with him had left, he asked again. He said: 'Tell her to ride, for Allah عز وجل is not in need of your sister tormenting herself.'
