حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قُلْنَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّكَ تَبْعَثُنَا فَنَنْزِلُ بِقَوْمٍ لَا يَقْرُونَا فَمَا تَرَى فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا نَزَلْتُمْ بِقَوْمٍ فَأَمَرُوا لَكُمْ بِمَا يَنْبَغِي لِلضَّيْفِ فَاقْبَلُوا وَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلُوا فَخُذُوا مِنْهُمْ حَقَّ الضَّيْفِ الَّذِي يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ

English Translation
ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir narrated: We said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: "You send us out and we stop with people who do not host us. What do you think about that?" the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us: "If you stop with people and they order what is due for the guest, then accept it. And if they do not, then take from them the right of the guest that is due."
