حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَرَجُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ الْمِصْرِيِّ قَالَ سَافَرْنَا مَعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ فَحَضَرَتْنَا ال
صَّلَاةُ فَأَرَدْنَا أَنْ يَتَقَدَّمَنَا قَالَ قُلْنَا أَنْتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا تَتَقَدَّمُنَا قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَمَّ قَوْمًا فَإِنْ أَتَمَّ فَلَهُ التَّمَامُ وَلَهُمْ التَّمَامُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُتِمَّ فَلَهُمْ التَّمَامُ وَعَلَيْهِ الْإِثْمُ

English Translation
Abū ʿAlī al-Miṣrī narrated: We traveled with ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir al-Juhanī, and when the time for prayer came, we wanted him to lead us. We said: "You are from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so please lead us." He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever leads a people in prayer and completes it, he has the full reward and so do they. And if he does not complete it, they have the full reward and the sin is upon him."
