حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ عَنْ حَيْوَةَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عَلَى قَتْلَى أُحُدٍ بَعْدَ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ كَالْمُوَدِّعِ لِلْأَح
ْيَاءِ وَالْأَمْوَاتِ ثُمَّ طَلَعَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي فَرَطُكُمْ وَأَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدٌ وَإِنَّ مَوْعِدَكُمْ الْحَوْضُ وَإِنِّي لَأَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ وَلَسْتُ أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تُشْرِكُوا أَوْ قَالَ تَكْفُرُوا وَلَكِنْ الدُّنْيَا أَنْ تَنَافَسُوا فِيهَا

English Translation
ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed over the slain of Uḥud after eight years, as one bidding farewell to the living and the dead. Then he ascended the minbar and said: "I am your forerunner, and I am a witness over you. Your meeting place is the Ḥawḍ (Pool), and I am looking at it. I do not fear that you will associate partners" — or he said: "disbelieve — but I fear that you will compete for the worldly life."
