حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ مِشْرَحَ بْنَ هَاعَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَوْ كَانَ مِنْ بَعْدِي نَبِيٌّ لَكَانَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ
English Translation
ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "If there were to be a prophet after me, it would be ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb."
