حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو السَّمْحِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قَبِيلٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ

بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي اثْنَتَيْنِ الْقُرْآنَ وَاللَّبَنَ أَمَّا اللَّبَنُ فَيَبْتَغُونَ الرِّيفَ وَيَتَّبِعُونَ الشَّهَوَاتِ وَيَتْرُكُونَ الصَّلَوَاتِ وَأَمَّا الْقُرْآنُ فَيَتَعَلَّمُهُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ فَيُجَادِلُونَ بِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

English Translation

ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I fear two things for my Ummah: the Quran and milk. As for milk, they pursue the countryside, follow their desires, and abandon the prayers. As for the Quran, the hypocrites learn it and argue against the believers with it."
