حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ

عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْكَيِّ وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ شُرْبَ الْحَمِيمِ وَكَانَ إِذَا اكْتَحَلَ اكْتَحَلَ وِتْرًا وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ اسْتَجْمَرَ وِتْرًا

English Translation
ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir narrated: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade cauterization. He used to dislike drinking very hot water. And when he applied kohl, he would apply it an odd number of times. And when he cleaned himself with stones (istijmār), he would do so an odd number of times.
