حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ

عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ اقْرَءُوا هَاتَيْنِ الْآيَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فَإِنَّ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَعْطَاهُنَّ أَوْ أَعْطَانِيهِنَّ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْعَرْشِ

English Translation

ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on the minbar: "Recite these two verses from the end of Sūrah al-Baqarah, for my Lord عز وجل gave them" — or "gave them to me — from beneath the Throne."
