حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ ع
َلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ أَنْسَابَكُمْ هَذِهِ لَيْسَتْ بِمَسَبَّةٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ كُلُّكُمْ بَنُو آدَمَ طَفُّ الصَّاعِ لَمْ تَمْلَئُوهُ لَيْسَ لِأَحَدٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ فَضْلٌ إِلَّا بِدِينٍ أَوْ تَقْوَى وَكَفَى بِالرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَكُونَ بَذِيًّا بَخِيلًا فَاحِشًا

English Translation
ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir al-Juhanī narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Your lineages are not a ground for insulting anyone. All of you are children of Adam, equal measures that you have not filled. No one has superiority over another except through religion or piety (taqwā). It is enough for a man to be vulgar, miserly, and obscene."
