English Translation

Hārūn ibn Maʿrūf narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, al-Layth ibn Saʿd informed me, from ʿAbd Rabbihi ibn Saʿīd, from ʿImrān, from ʿAbdullāh, from Rabīʿah ibn al-Ḥārith, from al-Faḍl ibn ʿAbbās, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: "The prayer is two by two. You make tashahhud in every two rakʿahs, show humility, submissiveness, and tranquility. Then you raise your hands" — meaning you raise them to your Lord عز وجل with your palms facing your face — "and say: 'O Lord, O Lord' — three times. Whoever does not do this, his prayer is deficient." Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: "This is what I consider correct."
