English Translation
Aswad ibn ʿĀmir narrated to us, Abū Bakr ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, from Ḥabīb ibn Abī ʿAmrah, from al-Minhāl ibn ʿAmr, from Yaʿlā, who said: "I do not think that anyone among the people saw from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ less than what I saw." He mentioned the matter of the child, the two palm trees, and the matter of the camel — except that he said: "What is the matter with your camel? It complains about you. It claims that you used it for irrigation until it grew old, and now you want to slaughter it." He said: "You have spoken the truth, by the One who sent you with the truth as a prophet. I had indeed intended that, but by the One who sent you with the truth, I will not do it."
