English Translation

Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, Khālid narrated to us, from Abū Qilābah, from Abū al-Ashʿath, from Shaddād ibn Aws رضي الله عنه, that he passed with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ during the time of the Conquest [of Makkah] by a man who was being cupped at al-Baqīʿ on the eighteenth of Ramaḍān while he [the Prophet ﷺ] was holding my hand. He said: "The cupper and the one being cupped have both broken their fast."
