Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَاسِجٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدٍ قَالَ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْقِتَالِ فَرُمِيَ رَجُلٌ
مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ بِسَهْمٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْجَبَ هَذَا وَقَالُوا حِينَ أَمَرَهُمْ بِالْقِتَالِ إِذَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَا نَقُولُ كَمَا قَالَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ { اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ } وَلَكِنْ اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا مَعَكُمَا مِنْ الْمُقَاتِلِينَ

English Translation
ʿIṣām ibn Khālid narrated to us, Abū ʿAbdillāh al-Ḥasan ibn Ayyūb narrated to us, ʿAbdullāh ibn Nāsij al-Ḥaḍramī narrated to me saying: ʿUtbah ibn ʿAbd narrated to me saying: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the fighting, and a man from his Companions was struck by an arrow. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'This one has earned [Paradise].' And they said when he ordered them to fight, 'Indeed, O Messenger of Allah, we will not say as the Children of Israel said to [Mūsā]: {Go, you and your Lord, and fight. We are sitting right here}. Rather, go, you and your Lord, and fight — we are with you both, among the fighters.'
