English Translation
Ḥusayn ibn Muḥammad narrated to us, Sharīk narrated to us, from Layth, from Shahr ibn Ḥawshab, from ʿAmr ibn Khārijah al-Thumālī who said: I asked the Prophet ﷺ about a sacrificial animal that becomes incapacitated. the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Slaughter it, dip its shoe-sandal in its blood, then strike its side with it — or he said: its flank — and do not eat any of it, neither you nor your traveling companions.'
