English Translation

Abū al-Mughīrah narrated to us, Ṣafwān ibn ʿAmr narrated to us saying: ʿAbdullāh ibn Busr al-Māzinī narrated to me saying: My father sent me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to invite him for food. He came with me, and when I neared the house, I hurried ahead and informed my parents. They came out to welcome the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and greeted him warmly. We laid out a cushion of ours — a shaggy one — and he sat on it. Then my father said to my mother, 'Bring your food.' She came with a bowl containing flour kneaded with water and salt. I placed it before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, 'Take [from it] in the name of Allah from its sides, and leave its top, for the blessing is in it.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate and we ate with him, and there was food left over. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, bless them, and expand their provisions.'
