English Translation
ʿAlī ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, Ḥassān ibn Nūḥ narrated to us, from ʿAmr ibn Qays, from ʿAbdullāh ibn Busr who said: Two Bedouins came to the Prophet ﷺ. One of them said, 'Who is the best of men, O Muḥammad?' the Prophet ﷺ said, 'The one whose life is long and whose deeds are good.' The other said, 'The laws of Islam have become too many for us, so give us a comprehensive gate to hold on to.' He said, 'Let your tongue never cease being moist with the remembrance of Allah عز وجل.'
