حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ يَعْنِي
ابْنَ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنَيْ بُسْرٍ السَّلْمَيَيْنِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِمَا فَقُلْتُ يَرْحَمُكُمَا اللَّهُ الرَّجُلُ مِنَّا يَرْكَبُ دَابَّتَهُ فَيَضْرِبُهَا بِالسَّوْطِ وَيَكْفَحُهَا بِاللِّجَامِ هَلْ سَمِعْتُمَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا قَالَا لَا مَا سَمِعْنَا مِنْهُ فِي ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ قَدْ نَادَتْ مِنْ جَوْفِ الْبَيْتِ أَيُّهَا السَّائِلُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ { وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا طَائِرٍ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّا أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُمْ مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِي الْكِتَابِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ } فَقَالَا هَذِهِ أُخْتُنَا وَهِيَ أَكْبَرُ مِنَّا وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
ʿAlī ibn Baḥr narrated to us saying: ʿĪsā ibn Yūnus narrated to us saying: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Yazīd — meaning Ibn Jābir — narrated to us, from ʿUbaydullāh ibn Ziyād, from the two sons of Busr al-Sulamiyyayn who said: I entered upon them and said, 'May Allah have mercy on you both. A man among us rides his animal and strikes it with the whip and yanks it with the bridle. Have you heard anything from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about that?' They said, 'No, we have not heard anything from him about that.' Then a woman called out from inside the house, 'O questioner! Allah عز وجل says: {There is no creature on earth or bird that flies with its two wings except that they are communities like you. We have not neglected anything in the Book} [al-Anʿām 6:38].' They said, 'This is our sister. She is older than us and she met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'
