English Translation

Abū al-Yamān al-Ḥakam ibn Nāfiʿ narrated to us, Abū Bakr narrated to us, from Saʿīd ibn Suwayd, from al-ʿIrbāḍ ibn Sāriyah al-Sulamī رضي الله عنه, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: "I am indeed, in Allāh's record — in Umm al-Kitāb — the Seal of the Prophet ﷺs, while Ādam was still in his clay. I will tell you its interpretation: the supplication of my father Ibrāhīm, the glad tidings of ʿĪsā to his people about me, and the vision my mother saw — that a light came forth from her that illuminated the palaces of Shām. And likewise the mothers of the Prophet ﷺs see [such visions], may Allāh's blessings be upon them."
