حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ع
َنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ الْمُرَادِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَظْهَرُ فِيهِمْ الرِّبَا إِلَّا أُخِذُوا بِالسَّنَةِ وَمَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَظْهَرُ فِيهِمْ الرُّشَا إِلَّا أُخِذُوا بِالرُّعْبِ

English Translation
ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'No people among whom usury (ribā) becomes widespread except that they are afflicted with drought. And no people among whom bribery becomes widespread except that they are afflicted with terror.'
