حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَمْلَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَاهُ مِخْنَفُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ وَنَحْنُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ بِعَرَفَاتٍ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ عَ
لَى كُلِّ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ أَوْ عَلَى كُلِّ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ أَضْحَاةً وَعَتِيرَةً قَالَ تَدْرُونَ مَا الْعَتِيرَةُ قَالَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ فَلَا أَدْرِي مَا رَدُّوا قَالَ هَذِهِ الَّتِي يَقُولُ النَّاسُ الرَّجَبِيَّةُ

English Translation
Mikhnaf ibn Sulaym رضي الله عنه narrated: We were with the Prophet ﷺ while he was standing at ʿArafāt, and he said: "O people, upon every household — or upon every household — in every year is an uḍḥiyah (sacrifice) and a ʿatīrah." He said: "Do you know what the ʿatīrah is?" Ibn ʿAwn said: I do not know what they replied. He said: "It is what the people call the Rajabiyyah" — meaning the sacrifice of Rajab.
