حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبِي أَنَسٍ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي الدِّيلِ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ الظُّهْرَ فِي بَيْتِي ثُمَّ خَرَجْتُ بِأَبَاعِرَ لِي لِأُصْدِرَهَا إِلَى الرَّاعِي فَمَرَرْتُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ الظُّهْرَ فَمَضَيْتُ فَلَمْ أُص
َلِّ مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا أَصْدَرْتُ أَبَاعِرِي وَرَجَعْتُ ذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لِي مَا مَنَعَكَ يَا فُلَانُ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ مَعَنَا حِينَ مَرَرْتَ بِنَا قَالَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي قَدْ كُنْتُ صَلَّيْتُ فِي بَيْتِي قَالَ وَإِنْ

English Translation
A man from Banū al-Dīl narrated: I prayed Ẓuhr in my house, then went out with my camels to drive them to the shepherd. I passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was leading the people in Ẓuhr prayer, but I continued on and did not pray with him. When I had sent off my camels and returned, that was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said to me: "What prevented you, O so-and-so, from praying with us when you passed by us?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I had already prayed in my house." He said: "Even so" — meaning pray again with the congregation.
